PUMA-level bubble maps with choropleth background

• These maps use circles to visualize the number of singles, by PUMA, who meet certain criteria. Geographic clustering is applied at father-out zoom levels in order to better highlight especially-dense regions.

• These maps show PUMA-level percentages or ratios, or county-level ideology and religion data, in the background.

• Users can also choose to view only the circle or choropleth components of these maps.

Alternative designs

Grouped-PUMA-level choropleth maps

• These maps are an alternative version of the main maps that use grouped PUMAs (with at least 500,000 individuals each) rather than individual PUMAs.

PUMA-level bubble maps (with no choropleth background)

• These maps show the number of singles, by PUMA, who meet certain criteria. Geographic clustering is applied at father-out zoom levels in order to better highlight especially-dense regions.
